🚀 Should You Still Learn Programming in 2025?

I love tech — it changed my life.

But not everyone should dive in, especially if you’re already established elsewhere.

👇 Here’s why…

Last weekend, I met an old classmate who works as a construction engineer. He said he’s thinking of switching to tech because he heard it’s “easy” to get a well-paid software job.

I’ve been a software developer for over 5 years, and I told him something unexpected — don’t do it.

The tech world has changed. It’s more competitive now, and switching mid-career means facing pressure to catch up fast — often skipping the most important step: mastering the basics.

But for teenagers or people in their early twenties, it’s a different story. They have time to explore, fail, and grow. For them, tech is still one of the best paths.

As Bill Gates said, “AI won’t replace programmers anytime soon — but the kind of programming people do will change.”

So maybe the real question isn’t “Should you learn programming?” but “When is the right time to start?”

💬 What’s your take — is switching to tech in 2025 still worth it?
